The East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District presents WATER! 2011. We’ll dive into today’s most pressing concerns about water resources by exploring how our everyday choices and actions are connected to local rivers, lakes, estuaries and beaches.

This engaging community event also investigates some of the less-obvious things that we can all do to improve the health of local waterways for fish, wildlife, and people.

Be sure to visit the Garden Design Studio Booth to visit Amy or Kathryn and get a Free 15 minute Design Sketch.

Join us at this FREE community event that engages citizens of all ages through informative workshops, hands-on activities and educational exhibits that address a variety of water quality & quantity issues including:

  • indoor and outdoor water conservation
  • natural gardening / sustainable landscaping
  • watershed awareness
  • safe alternatives to toxic chemicals and pesticides
  • creating wildlife habitat in urban spaces
  • pollution prevention
  • rainwater harvestingwater conservation = money savings!

You’ll walk away with new ideas and helpful tips to practice at home and in the yard so that you can have a long-lasting, positive impact on local water resources!
